6 Month Pictures!

We just got Brady and Owen's 6 month pictures in the mail.  If anyone in the DFW area needs a good photographer, Brandi with B4 Photography is the one!  They turned out so great.  The boys are getting so much bigger every day.

A day in the life of twins

I'm sitting here trying to think of some clever post which details all the glamorous and fun things that we have been doing over the last couple weeks......but I've got nothing!  It's been the typical get up, go to work/school, come home, dinner and bedtime (with some chores sprinkled in there for good measure).  With that being said I'll just share some cute pictures of the boys (I know that's the only reason you are looking at the blog anyways).

Our first PJ Day at School!
So as you can see it's just business as usual around here....it's 8:30 the boys are down for the night (hopefully all night) so Rodney and I are going clip the dogs nails, clean up the kitchen, grab some dinner and maybe watch something off the DVR.....

Our Little Firecrackers (and other fun stuff)

So we've been very busy over the past few weeks....which seems to be a common theme when you have twins!

The boys celebrated their first 4th of July by participating in their first Liberty 5K Fun Run.  This has been a long standing Beckel tradition since my dad started the race over 25 years ago!  We walked with Rachael and Calvin and Miles (Doug and Max cheered us on from the side).  We also spent the day hanging at Grammy and Papa's house with our cousins.  It was a great day!

Don't we look ready for a good run!

Even Miles got into the spirit

Brady wasn't quite as impressed...

Brady and Owen are learning so many new things these days....

Brady loves pushing up....getting ready to crawl!

Full belly = sleeping Owen!

Brady, left and Owen, right
They are starting to eat their veggies which is helping everyone to sleep at night....sometimes both will sleep all the way through the night giving Rodney and I much needed sleep!  Owen loves peas and Brady loves sweet potatoes but neither like green beans.  That's a fun learning experience...eeewww!

I can't believe how fast they are growing and that they are almost 7 months old!  How the time flies!

Much love, Sarah

Happy Father's Day!

To celebrate Rodney's first Father's Day we did the only thing I could think of that would make him infinitely happy (other than moving to the mountains to become ski bums)....get out of town!  For anyone that knows us can attest that we have the travel bug and don't stay home very long.  We've been in Dallas since late October so he is itching to get out of town.  Our dear friends Matt, Kim and Braden Reile are moving to Alaska very soon so we needed to bid them farewell.  We had a great time visiting with them as well as the Moreland's and the boys are excellent car riders (they slept almost the whole way down and back).  I think this is just the beginning of many more road trips for the Stoneman family!

Happy Father's Day to the most amazing, thoughtful, generous, kind, funny, compassionate, gentle and patient husband and father in the world.  The boys and I couldn't have asked for a better man and role model in their life.

Brady was trying to cut a few teeth while we were gone which resulted in one very unhappy night for everyone.  We finally gave up and brought him to bed with us for a few hours so we could finally get some sleep....still no teeth though!  I guess we get to do this again -- TIMES TWO!

Thanks to the Reile's for showing us a great time and letting our chaos crash your house for a couple days.  We will miss you while you are away but can't wait to visit!

The boys enjoyed their lunch at the Bryan, TX Chick-Fil-A......even though there were way too many Aggies around.  I know they will be Red Raiders someday!!

Happy Fathers Day also to my daddy....

 And to Rodney's dad....

Happy Memorial Day!

Rodney and I have just put Brady and Owen down for the night (hopefully the only time!) and can't believe our long weekend is already over.  It's been fairly quiet around here since both boys have decided to bring home their first "cooties" from school.  We officially have ear infections :(  This meant that Brady and I stayed home sick on Friday and then Owen came home sick on Friday night so we spent all weekend resting and recouping for Tuesday morning.

We all enjoyed some much needed rest but did get a little playtime mixed in between eye drops, medicine and interupted sleep patterns.  I hope we are on the upside of this and sleeping returns to a little bit more normal.  We also got a quick visit from Aunt Martha and Uncle Chinh.  They came over with the "big truck" to pick up some stuff for the Payne twins that will be arriving any day now!  We are grateful to Rachael and Doug for lending us a few of Max's things over the past couple months.

Here's some pics of our weekend.

Sure looks sick to me.....

Been Busy!

It's amazing how quickly time flies now that I'm back to work.  The days start at 5:00 am and end with my exhausted self crawling into bed about 11:00 pm.  It's not nearly enough sleep for one person but I guess this is just the start of the rest of my parenting life!

With that being said, we have managed to have some fun over the last couple weeks....we celebrated Easter/Mother's Day/my birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Stoneman, we celebrated Cousin Max's 2nd birthday and my first Mother's Day!

Our first trip to The Little Gym for Max's birthday

The boys have discovered their hands and that they should put them in their mouths all the time!  They are also becoming much more aware of things around them, like toys and ceiling fans.  We are loving their interactions with us and all the smiles that we are now getting.
