ROADTRIP!!!

Last month we embarked on a HUGE adventure...a road trip to Minnesota for the Bi-Annual Beckel Family reunion and to also catch up with some of the Keefe side of the family.  It was a long drive but we managed to all survive and even have some good fun in Minnesota.

On the trip home we stopped in Kansas City to break up the trip.  We managed a good visit to the Kansas City Zoo which was the first time the boys had been to a zoo.  They really liked the polar bear, the meerkats and the elephants.

 



 

 

It was a really great trip but I think we are going to stick closer to home for a while and try to recover!  2,100 miles is alot of road to cover with 2 20-month olds....



Missed us??

I know it's been a long while but we are finally in our new house and "settled in" -- aside from still having piles of stuff, unfinished projects and a nursery to complete.  We love the one story and the shorter commute and the boys really love having a park 5 houses down.  It's been life changing for us!

But enough about all that stuff -- we got the boys 18 month pictures done back in June and thought I would share.  We took them down to the Fort Worth Stockyards and even though it was already a million degrees at 9:00 am we had a great time.  I'll be getting through the rest of the pics we haven't posted, including some from our recent road trip to Minnesota!!

March for Babies

On April 21st we were able to participate in the Dallas March for Babies Walk as the Ambassador Family.  The boys had a great time getting interviewed by a local news reporter and being on stage during the Kick Off presentation.

First Family Run!

Rodney and Don wanted to run in a 10K that was going across this new fancy-schmancy bridge in Dallas before it opened to road traffic.  We decided to make it a family affair and I ran in the Fun Run with the boys.  It was really cool to see the architecture of the bridge and be able to walk across it.

The weather was a little chilly but a great day overall!  I'm happy to say that I came in First in the Women's Double Stroller division :)

Cabinet Fun!

Brady and Owen LOVE to open the cabinets and take everything out.  We finally got tired of picking up stuff so we emptied one cabinet for them to play in.

Anyone need some kitchen helpers?  They do dishes as well.....

We've officially had the house on the market for 3 weeks, had one offer and one offer fall through....we are now back active again and hoping for more luck this time!  The boys were a great help in getting the house ready.

On President's Day we all took the day off and went to see the Dallas crew before Baby Vu was born...while we were out we had 2 showings and when we go home discovered we were locked out of the house!  While we waited for the last realtor to come let us in the boys had some fun in the garage and driveway.  Luckily it was a very unseasonably warm day...
